When you use AI Auto Add Meal, analysis runs in the background. A Live Activity keeps you in the loop on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, then shows the result — so you can put the phone down and get on with your day.
Live progress
The moment AI starts analyzing your photo or voice entry, the Lock Screen shows "Analyzing…" with a live indicator — no need to stare at the app.
Result at a glance
When it finishes, the activity updates to the recognized dish and its numbers, e.g. "Done: Chicken bowl · 450 kcal · 25g protein".
Dynamic Island
On iPhones with a Dynamic Island, a compact pill shows status; tap and hold to expand it to the full meal name and macros.
