1.1 The Application may collect the following categories of information:

Device Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Pages or screens visited, including time, date, and duration.
Time spent on the Application.
Mobile operating system version.
Username and email address when signing in (for authentication only).
Meal data you input into the Application, such as meal name, description, ingredients, and other related information.
Images: Food photos, ingredient label photos, and restaurant menu photos you capture or upload (JPEG, PNG, or WebP format).
Health data: Health conditions you disclose (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) constitution types.
Biometric data: Age, gender, current weight, target weight, preferred weight unit, and goal duration.
Fitness goal: Your selected goal (e.g., lose weight, gain weight, build muscle, or maintain weight).
Nutrition data: Aggregated macro- and micro-nutrient totals, including calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sodium, cholesterol, dietary fiber, and sugars.
Meal history: Meal names, time slots, dates, and per-meal nutrition breakdowns for up to the past 7 days.
Approximate location: Your city and country (used to improve regional food accuracy and suggest nearby places).
Food and text input: Food names you type, serving sizes, meal categories, ingredient lists, and editing instructions.
Taste and temperature preferences: Your preferred taste profile and hot/cold food preferences (collected during menu scanning).
Meal timing: The meal period associated with a given entry (e.g., breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
Language and locale: Your device language code, used to generate multilingual AI responses.
AI conversation history: The full turn-by-turn chat history (user and AI messages) maintained for the AI chat feature.

1.2 If you wish to delete your data from the backend servers, you may do so by deleting the corresponding data within the Application client. Once removed from the client, the associated server records will also be permanently deleted.

1.5 When you use AI-powered features (such as meal analysis, menu scanning, dietary advice, or the AI chat), the following data may be transmitted to our third-party AI service provider, Google LLC (Google Gemini API), solely to generate accurate, personalised responses:

Food photos, ingredient label photos, and restaurant menu photos.
Health conditions and TCM constitution types.
Biometric data: age, gender, current and target weight, weight unit, and goal days.
Fitness goal selection.
Aggregated nutrition totals (calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, sodium, cholesterol, fiber, sugars).
Meal history for up to the past 7 days (meal names, time slots, dates, per-meal nutrition).
Approximate location (city and country).
Food names, serving sizes, meal categories, ingredients, and editing instructions.
Taste and temperature preferences.
Meal time period (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc.).
Language and locale code.
Full AI conversation history (role and message content).

Google processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policies and is contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the stated purpose. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

1.6 When you subscribe to or purchase a paid plan, the Application uses RevenueCat, Inc. as a third-party subscription management service. The following data may be transmitted to RevenueCat's servers to manage your subscription, validate purchases, and prevent fraud:

App User ID: A unique identifier (UUID) associated with your account, used to link your purchases to your user profile.
Purchase receipts: In-app purchase and subscription transaction receipts, sent to RevenueCat for server-side validation with Apple.
Subscription status: Entitlement information, product identifiers, expiration dates, and renewal status of your active subscriptions.
Device locale and currency code: Used to display localised pricing information.
App-scoped device identifier: An anonymous device-level identifier used for fraud prevention and entitlement management.
Operating system version: Your device's OS version, collected automatically by the SDK.

RevenueCat does not receive any of your health data, meal data, biometric information, images, location, or other personal content stored in the Application. RevenueCat stores customer data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in the United States. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy.

1.7 When you use the speech-to-text feature in the Application, your voice/audio data is transmitted to OpenAI, Inc. (OpenAI Whisper API) for transcription. The audio recording is sent to OpenAI's servers solely to convert your spoken words into text, which is then used within the Application. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policies and data usage terms. No other personal data is sent to OpenAI as part of this feature. 2. Cross-Border Data Transfer / 跨境資料傳輸 / 跨境数据传输

2.1 By using this Application, you acknowledge and consent that your personal data may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States.

2.2 Data protection laws in the United States may differ from those in your country or region of residence.

2.3 We will adopt all reasonable measures to ensure that your data is handled securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Depending on applicable law in your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

3.1 Access the personal data we hold about you.
3.2 Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

4. Third-Party Access / 第三方存取 / 第三方访问

4.1 Only aggregated and anonymized data may be shared with third-party services to improve the Application.

4.2 The Application uses the following third-party service providers, each of which processes data only for the stated purpose and is contractually obligated to handle your data securely:

Google LLC (Gemini API) — processes AI-related data (images, health data, meal data, etc.) to generate personalised responses, as described in Section 1.5.
RevenueCat, Inc. — processes purchase and subscription data (user ID, purchase receipts, subscription status, device locale, and device identifier) to manage in-app subscriptions, as described in Section 1.6.
OpenAI, Inc. (Whisper API) — processes voice/audio data to provide speech-to-text transcription, as described in Section 1.7.

4.3 The Service Provider may disclose user-provided or automatically collected information in the following cases:

As required by law (e.g., subpoena).
To protect rights, safety, or respond to lawful requests.
To trusted service providers operating under confidentiality agreements.

5. Opt-Out Rights / 拒絕權利 / 拒绝权利

5.1 You may stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application.

6. Data Retention Policy / 資料保存政策 / 数据保存政策

6.1 The Service Provider will retain your data for as long as you use the Application, and for a reasonable period thereafter.

6.2 You may request deletion by contacting support@menumeld.com.

7. Children's Privacy / 兒童隱私 / 儿童隐私

7.1 The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.

7.2 Children should not submit personal data without parental consent. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of online services.

7.3 If you believe that a child has submitted personal data, please contact support@menumeld.com, and such data will be promptly deleted.

7.4 In certain jurisdictions, you must be at least 16 years old to consent to data processing, or otherwise have parental/guardian consent.

8.1 The Service Provider implements physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

9.1 This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically for the latest terms.

9.2 This policy is effective as of 21 FEB 2026.
